How much do you know about Albanian intangible heritage?
This is the title of the 35-question “Heritage is Our Brand!” questionnaire, funded by the European Union and implemented by DMO Albania and the EU Policy Hub, to preserve and promote Albanian intangible cultural heritage through education, artistic creation, and youth engagement.
The questionnaire aims to collect information about young people’s knowledge of intangible cultural heritage, including traditions, songs, dances, rituals, and other artistic features that constitute the Albanian national identity. Through various questions, young people aged 16-33 are asked about their perception of cultural heritage, participation in local and school activities, and the sources of information they use to learn more about this heritage. It also asks about the role of institutions, family, school, and media in educating and engaging young people about cultural heritage.
This data will serve to design more effective strategies and policies that will enable greater engagement of young people in the protection and development of intangible cultural heritage in Albania, ensuring that this wealth is preserved and transmitted to future generations. This project is essential to preserving and promoting Albanian traditions, including young people, and creating and transmitting national culture and identity.
